One of my all-time faves, his sense of colour is, like Yves Saint Laurent's, heightened. This isn't his best work, precisely because it's so typical, it has a 'best of compilation' feeling. It's fine, nonetheless, just not as joyous as Lacroix can be.

ReplyDeleteit is a showcase for all the traditional thread crafts, the feather workers, embroiderers, shoe makers, fabric weavers, button makers etc. Very old world one.
