Yes: I think the Nic Tse outfit strikes the right note, just formal enough, without looking stuffy and the colour makes it different enough to be special. I thought the Shu Qi gown looks very pretty, also elegant without being stuffy, or stiff and pretty without looking tarty. It's a fine balance, I think.
