I must say I found Gucci's fall ads (Mert & Marcus) convincing and energetic. It makes a case for the clothes. But one does look with fond nostalgia at those Tom Ford era collections. This 1990 one (below) still looks contemporary 20 years on. Of course it was styled by the impossible Carine Roitfeld.
i dunno about anyone else, or care even if one calls me old fashioned but i really do miss mister ford at gucci and esp ysl.
ReplyDeletealleycaat: Why would anyone think you old fashioned? The tom ford gucci days are generally known to be the golden years of gucci. i don't know about ysl though - i don't think mr ford was the right man to do ysl.
