He Said She Said: Monday Morals

"Look to your health; and if you have it, praise God and value it next to conscience; for health is the second blessing that we mortals are capable of, a blessing money can't buy." - Izaak Walton (1593-1683)"If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is part of yourself. What isn't part of ourselves doesn't disturb us." - Hermann Hesse (1877-1962)

  1. the saying by Hesse is particularly relevant today: it accounts for why some of the most virulent & toxic homophobes inevitably turn 'out' to be deeply closeted & conflicted queers...

  2. Dear Anon: Totally relevant. There should just be less hate all around already! I can't believe that in this day and age homophobes still exist. There are much greater things to fear.

  3. i'm afraid homophobes will always exist as long as there are unenlightened folks who harbour irrational fear about man-to-man sex.
