Is it too much of a conciet to say that this collection reminds me of a Tenessee Williams (anti)hero? The look is louche, with a "destructive dreamboat" quality: Shy yet defiant, tender yet angry, beautiful, alas, but brutish. If you can look beyond the stupid hair (how can anyone do this to Sean O'Pry?), you'll see some truly desirable clothes; Some fashion voices (they find a convenient label and they cling pathetically to it don't they - even when the label isn't useful anymore?) keep labelling Tomas Maier's work for BV as 'billioniare luxe' but they fail to note that it's not the luxe that is the defining quality of Mr Maier's work, but the sensuality. BV doesn't look vulgarly 'luxe' - instead, the emphasis is on a caressing comfort to the textures, a subtle mastery of colour, an organic shape. It's also nice to see the continued use of tie-dye (from summer), but pity about those jeans.
If I ever cross-dress, this is the look I'll go for...:)..Neja
