An Immaculate Eye

These are images are from the new David Bailey book Eye: A selection of Bailey's photographs which span (1962 and 2008) the breadth of Bailey's career. His egalitarian stance is indicated by an absence of props and a minimal approach to lighting. Mr Bailey's eye surveys the gamut of humankind, including (here), Yves Saint Laurent (1970), Pedro Almadover (2001), David Hockney (1969) and Helmut Newton (1981).

With cover art (a painted eye) by Damien Hirst (yes, a bit pretentious, I know)...
