Dear Anon: LOL. You're so correct in identifying it as the 1980s (again). But i think it's the makeup, hair and font/ design that you're responding to more than the finish. I like it because it makes for an arresting cover.
Dear Anon: Another astute comment... it does rather say 'coke' does it not? That makes this cover successful... A friend, HH, said that it reminds him of an Antonio drawing which is also so right.
